Participation in program offerings is not required. Your time can be as unstructured and carefree as you would like. You are welcome to do your own thing, or join in community activities.
Each of these offerings has now become well-loved LDWFC traditions!
Community Circle: Formerly Vespers, this is a short meditation service which draws upon multiple faith traditions as well as spiritual seekers for contemplative and reflective inspiration. A variety of sources of inspiration are utilized, such as poetry, philosophy, music, Psalms and the Gospels. Most recent meditations include writings from Mary Oliver, Wendell Berry, John Muir, Thich Nhat Hahn and Thomas Keating.
Campfire and Songfest: An opportunity to enjoy roasting marshmallows, s'mores and hot cocoa fireside while singing some fun camp songs.
Talent Show: The Talent Show is perhaps the most anticipated event of the weekend! Come prepared to share your talents! Participants of all-ages often sing, dance, read poetry, perform martial arts, tell jokes, play a variety of musical instruments or perform skits. Check out our 2024 Talent Show and other acts from previous years below!
Dance Party: This is a fun, all-ages dance hosted by our own DJ in The Barn. The Silent Auction has been on hiatus since 2020.
Winniscoops: Most evenings end with a trip to Geneva Point's ice cream shop where Gifford's Ice Cream is served.
Silent Auction: This is a weekend activity, rather than just an evening activity. Family Campers donate items to be auctioned and people make silent bids throughout the weekend. Monies collected from the auction go toward our Benefit Fund, which offers scholarships to new camp attendees as well as those in need of assistance. The Silent Auction has been on hiatus since 2020.
