Weekend Details and FAQs

How much does the weekend cost?
The total cost for the weekend is mostly dependent upon the number of people in your party as well as your preference in housing.  There are a variety of housing options, ranging in price. In addition, some housing choices do not include linens (bed sheets, washcloths and towels).  You are welcome to bring your own, or linens can be rented for an additional $16.25 for a twin bed or $21.30 for a double bed.

Meal costs may vary, depending on the age of your family members and whether anyone in your family has dietary restrictions.  Please note that vegan and gluten-free food options cost an additional $4.55 per meal, for a total weekend additional food cost of $36.40 per person.  Meal prices are per person for the entire weekend (eight meals), which includes Friday dinner through Monday breakfast.

Facility and camp fees, which are set by LDWFC, also apply and are based upon the size of your group. Camp fees for first time registrants are waived. See below for the 2024 fee schedule.

Are scholarships available?
Yes!  LDWFC has a Benefit Fund, which offers scholarships to new camp attendees as well as to those in need of financial assistance in order to be able to attend.
There are a limited number of scholarships available.  Contributions to the Benefit Fund are welcomed and greatly appreciated.

Can I register online?
Yes you can!  Fill out the registration form
here.  Registration is complete when a deposit is received.

How do I make payments?
Payments are made in three installments.  Upon registration, your weekend deposit is due.
When you receive an invoice for the weekend deposit, payments can be made either online (see below) or by check payable to LDWFC.  In both May and August, you will receive additional invoices for final payments.

How do I make an online payment?
When your registration is received, an invoice for a weekend deposit and instructions for online payment will be sent via e-mail from our registrar.

How safe is LDWFC for children?
While all parents/caregivers are responsible for supervision of their minor children at all times, great care is taken to ensure the safety of all camp attendees, including the children.  The LDWFC community looks out for the children and the children help each other as well.  Additionally, the designated swim periods are always staffed by trained life guards.  Driving on campus is limited to only what is necessary; all motorized vehicles must follow a 5 miles per hour speed limit.

How is the food?
The meals are good camp-fare, with a fruit and yogurt bar at breakfast and a salad bar at lunch and dinner.  If you have dietary restrictions please indicate your food needs on the registration form.  Our registrar will communicate with GPC about your needs prior to your arrival.  Upon arrival,
dietary requests or concerns may be made directly with GPC.

Can I bring a bicycle?
Yes!  GPC safety guidelines ask that all riders share the roads and pathways with pedestrians, yielding to pedestrians when necessary.  In addition, bicyclists should not ride after dark.
All children under the age of 16 must wear helmets while on the property.

What should I bring?
Check out our list of ideas for items to bring to ensure a
much more enjoyable weekend!
