Our Family Camp Philosophy If you have ever lived with The Disease of Being Busy, you know just how pervasive it is, how difficult it is to live your values when expectations to achieve, to produce, to do are so high. The pressure to focus on more leaves us feeling exacerbated, tired, even overwhelmed. All. The. Time.
In an age of busyness, distraction and disconnection, we offer families more opportunities for togetherness and connection; opportunities to be more fully present. Family Camp is a respite from the dis-ease. It is our hope that we can create a space in which simplicity is embraced, in which being is more valued than doing; in which "we have less to do, more time for leisure, more time for reflection, more time for family, more time for community, more time to just... be." Thus, our focus is to provide all-ages family programming which brings us together.
So consider this your personal invitation to join us for a slow, inclusive and welcoming, fun, family fellowship weekend! Peruse our planned camp offerings; feel free to participate or embrace unstructured time canoeing on the lake, hiking on nearby trails, or reading a book sitting in a rocker on the Inn's porch. Create memories reconnecting with family and friends, making new friends, and re-charging for the change in season.
